Jon and Kathleen met in the fall of 2020 in Washington, DC, where Kathleen was working and Jon was surviving law school. In a true pandemic meet-cute, they met when friends invited them both to an outdoor screening of the Goonies at the Bullpen. Although it wasn’t a setup, it might as well have been -- Jon and Kathleen ended up talking through the entire movie!

Fast forward a few months and the two were dating officially, getting to know each other better and enjoying exploring DC together. Jon shared with Kathleen the excitement and thrills of the life of a law student, while Kathleen exposed Jon, a notorious unsophisticate, to the world of restaurants that were not Waffle House or Chili's. Their friends had a good feeling about the two from the beginning, and have been proven happily right! After a year of dating, Jon, who had accepted a job in New York after graduation, asked Kathleen to move with him. She said yes, and the year after that said it again when Jon asked her, against a backdrop of Icelandic black sand, to marry him. Jon and Kathleen are so excited to celebrate their marriage with all of you, and look forward to seeing you in Virginia!
